How ANPR Cameras Work
An ANPR camera will commonly take a photographic image of a vehicle number plate, which is then either, processed in the camera, or passed to a back-office system (BoF) via their video management hardware and onto the relevant system. .
Using OCR technology, the AI will locate the number plate registration and read the letters or characters of the plate. The image of the number plate and the rest of the overview camera is saved and checked against the database.
